LOST KNOWLEDGE:Exhortations/Pedimentia/Interior (re)models
Derived from portrait busts, drapery and obelisks, the drawings in the first part of this section are meant to invoke both memory and forgetting. Initially drawn at a small scale each image is then digitally printed much larger and further elaborated upon with bush and ink or watercolor. (The furniture is life size.)
Whether the drawings in the second part of this section represent mirrors, windows, frames or memorial wreaths, they are drawn with the tiniest of liner brushes with black ink on 9 by 11 inch sheets of hot-pressed bristol board. All of these parameters (medium, method, materials, scale) represent as complete a departure from past practice as I could devise. The text within them represents directions for redundantly important acts.
